Lethbridge Public Library: Crossings Branch

The Challenge

Lethbridge Public Library was committed to building an environmentally friendly space where the community could relax, learn, and be inspired. Striving for LEED (an internationally recognized green building certification) meant the construction of the building had to meet stringent environmental code- and they were determined to extend that approach to everything inside.

The Solution

The interior of the building was furnished by a local dealer, with a combination of wood and structural steel, beautiful yet durable environmental fabrics, strong versatile steel shelving and attention to details such as bright inviting panels in the children’s area. Modern libraries such as this one prove you can have everything, including beauty, the latest in technology, and still be conscious of the environment.
